Care Quality Commission Backs Dentistry

March 14th, 2013

This week we received an emailed newsletter from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in which they announced that the dental sector has performed very well in CQC inspections, with over 92% of visits revealing compliance with national care standards.  This means that dental practices in general are regarded as safe establishments for patients to receive care and contrasts with the recent adverse publicity for care homes who have been receiving less favourable reports.

Ock Street Clinic has been achieving recognition for compliance with national standards for the last 7 years – long before the CQC existed – by gaining and maintaining the BDA Good Practice Award.  Since then we have gone even further by investing in a state of the art dental instrument decontamination facility and constantly adapting our systems and internal procedures to meet the new regulations that help ensure your safety whilst you are in our care.  We welcome all patients to see for themselves, call 01235 533777 and ask for a practice tour at your convenience.
