We strive to deliver the best possible dental and related medical services in the most relaxed and comfortable surroundings. We work hard to ensure that we meet or surpass recognised industry standards and we are pleased to have received the following accreditations:

British Dental Association – The Good Practice Scheme

The BDA Good Practice Scheme is a quality assurance framework for UK dental practices. By becoming members of the Scheme, practices demonstrate a visible commitment to providing quality dental care to nationally recognised best practice standards.

This is the heart of the BDA Good Practice Scheme – ten simple sentences that sum up everything the Scheme stands for:

  • We aim to provide dental care of consistently good quality for all patients
  • We only provide care that meets your needs and wishes
  • We aim to make your treatment as comfortable and convenient as possible
  • We look after your general health and safety while receiving dental care
  • We follow current guidelines on infection control
  • We check for mouth cancer and tell you what we find
  • We take part in continuing professional development to keep our skills and knowledge up-to-date
  • We train all staff in practice-wide work systems and review training plans once a year
  • We welcome feedback and deal promptly with any complaints
  • Every member of the practice is aware of the need to work safely under General Dental Council guidelines

Care Quality Commission

Ock Street Clinic is registered with the CQC to provide an extensive list of services to our patients. In addition to dental services our ability to provide a supplementary portfolio of medical services has been recognised and approved by this independent health regulator.

Our inclusion shows that we meet essential standards of quality of care and assures our patients that we are continually monitored and regulated within the following areas:

  • Dental Services
  • Diagnostic and/or Screening Services
  • Complex Dental Procedures
  • Private Doctors
  • Urgent Care Services

General Dental Council

All our dentists, hygienists and nursing staff are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). The GDC sets out the professional conduct and standards that dentists and their teams must meet. You can read more about the work of the GDC at
